Off to new horizons
09 March 2020
Ruth Roebuck and her husband are relocating to the South Island - this was always a mid-term plan for Ruth and her family and she has just announced this is taking place in the 2020 calendar year. This means Ruth will vacate her General Manager position in early August this year. Between now and then, Ruth has drafted a robust hand-over programme of the many disciplines and accountabilities that she holds and working with the CEO will ensure there is a smooth programme of continuing business practices at the organisation.
Having enjoyed what will be almost four years, Ruth will be sad to leave the Trust, the Spirit Personnel and all our Partners she has worked closely with. She hopes to continue being a friend and supporter of the Trust from her Nelson location. Ruth came on board with several key objectives and we are pleased to report the successes of her work - be it introducing a commercial overlay to our business practices; the establishment of a business scholarship revenue channel, a robust financial management platform, the initiation behind our Youth Engagement Panel and her drive and enthusiasm to demand and deliver excellence.
Ruth has a number of professional interests outside of work and she also hopes to slow down a little when she and Campbell reach Nelson, although knowing Ruth that remains to be seen.
We wish Ruth all the very best for her future life and the Board join me in thanking her for her significant contribution over the last four years.
