Log: 17/5
We are having fun times onboard with a wonderful group of people, who are eager to learn everything about the ship. We set sail from Princes wharf late on Sunday afternoon and headed north to Mahurangi Harbour, with clear skies and the stars shining brightly. Yesterday we set sail again and headed further north, to Goat Island, learning how to tack the ship along the way. At Goat Island we boarded some rafts and made our way into the marine reserve and swum in amongst the fish. Back on board we had some hot chocolate to warm up again then hauled the anchor and motored back to Kawau Bay in the cover of darkness. Today we have set full sail (13 sails) and had rides in the tender to take photographs looking back at the majestic ship. Now its time to try out the yard swing of Motuihe Island then stow sails and relax for the evening.
