Captain's Log - Day 5

Log: 29/6

Mānawatia a Matariki, Happy New Year! What a fabulous start to the New Year we have had. We started with star gazing and swimming under our Matariki cluster, then were graced with a stunning sunrise. After cleaning the Captain cried "full sail", so we waved goodbye to Kawau Bay getting more dressed with sail as the morning progressed. Once all that mahi was done we sat on deck with harakeke for a beautiful peaceful time weaving stars, fish and flowers. Now we are getting closer to Aotea and a scrumptious meal of boil up and steamed pudding with custard. We will round out the day out with stories and waiata under clear skies...

Captain's Log - Day 7

After a fun leg stretch yesterday tramping on shore, today we spent the day on anchor enjoying the unique things our fine vessel Spirit has to offer - climbing the rig and sailing luggers. Now the crew are ashore enjoying dinner and a campfire at Smokehouse Bay.
