Voyage 903b has begun! The trainees are getting to know the ship and their shipmates. The Tamaki Strait gave us a nice sheltered anchorage for last night. We are now heading to the eastern end of Waiheke Island for tonight. The rain should clear later today, giving us a sunny day to explore the Hauraki Gulf.

Yesterday the weather was perfect for our walk ashore at Rotoroa Island. We also had an amazing sail across to Coromandel, feeling the wind in our sails, the ship moving beneath us and hearing the sounds of the water around the hull. Finishing the day with a hearty meal and a fun evening activity. We awoke today to a early morning swim in Coromandel harbour. then set the sails again and headed to Motuihe Island. Along the way we learnt a bit about navigation, saw some dolphins and played deck games. Now that we are at anchor it is time to blow up the rafts again and head ashore for more fun with our shipmates.
