Captain's Log: Day 2

Voyage 907 has begun with a lovely sailing breeze! The trainees have learnt to climb the rigging, set a sail and slept their first night aboard. Friendships are forming, there is smiles and laughter all around.

Captain's Log Day 3

Log: 31/12

This morning the trainees paddled ashore at Rotoroa Island to stretch their legs and play beach games. This afternoon we set lots of sails and headed off to Great Barrier Island, to the safe anchorage of Smokehouse Bay. There are some strong winds forecast for tonight and tomorrow but we will be very secure in the shelter of Port Fitzroy Harbour.

Captain's Log Day 4

Log: 32/12

Today we hiked on the beautiful Kaikoura Island, out to a rocky outcrop looking back over the Hauraki Gulf and Little Barrier Island. A refreshing swim was enjoyed when we got back to the ship and now we are looking forward to New Year's Eve. Wishing everyone a Happy New Year from everyone onboard!

Captain's Log Day 6

Log: 3/1

Yesterday was spent exploring the wild West Coast of Great Barrier Island. Exploring the bush and finishing up with a swim at the beach. Today we have set our sails and are having a lovely passage across the Hauraki Gulf heading towards Kawau Island.

Captain's Log Day 10
