We're stoked you are considering joining Spirit as a volunteer.
There's a few things we'll need to kick off the process, including running a police vetting check with the NZ Police. This can take up to 6 weeks to process, so it's the first piece of info we need to get things underway. You can download the form below.
Before you start the application form you will need:
Completed police vetting form (download below)
Two forms of ID (one must be photo). These can include any of the following: Drivers License, Passport, NZ Birth Certificate, NZ Citizenship Certificate, NZ Firearms License, Maritime NZ ID, Coastguard ID
Details of two referees who can support your application (this may be a teacher, family friend, employer, kaumātua)
Volunteer spaces on the ship are filled on a rolling basis.
Once your volunteer application has been fully processed, you will be eligible to register for a voyage.
Every 3 months we release a new set of voyages, you will then have one month to register your interest,
then applications for the period will close and you will be notified if you have been successful in your chosen dates.
You will be emailed each time the intake is open for registration.
FEBRUARY intake for voyages taking place in JULY, AUGUST, SEPTEMBER
MAY intake for voyages taking place in OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER
AUGUST intake for voyages JANUARY, FEBRUARY, MARCH
NOVEMBER intake for voyages APRIL, MAY, JUNE
