Captains Log: Day 1

Log: 10/6

Voyage 919b has begun. Departing the wharf a little early last night gave us time to voyage further than normal - ending up in Man O' War bay. We got into our adventure straight away - learning how to climb the rigging and enjoying the moon and stars while underway. Today we are getting settled into ship routines and soon will learn how to set the sails.

Captain's Log: Day 2

Log: 11/6

Everyone is settling into shipboard life, getting to know the routines and enjoying their shipmates company. Yesterday we had a great sailing experience across the Hauraki Gulf to Kawau Bay. Today we have awoken to a beautiful sunrise, a nice morning swim and the promise of an exciting day exploring the area, going ashore and hunting for a pirates treasure.

Captains Log: Day 3

Log: 12/6

Yesterday proved to be a highlight for the trainees. A fun and challenging day, sailing the luggers and paddling the rafts between islands. They followed the clues on the treasure map to Beehive Island, that looks like it should have cast aways on it, then over onto dispute cove where they were rewarded with a well deserved lunch. Hidden in the lunch was the next clue so of they went back to the ship to find the treasure hidden onboard.
There are more challenges and experiences to be had today.
