Morena whanau, we had an epic day yesterday. In the morning there was no wind so we headed ashore for beach games at Motu Ihe. The afternoon was spent sailing along the northern coast of Waiheke in calm seas and sunshine. Our anchorage for the night was Man o War Bay.

Hey fam, the team had a wicked day yesterday. They headed ashore straight after cleanup to motu Rotoroa and had a bit of a walk around the island. Being a nature reserve they saw all sorts of cool birds like takahe and tieke. On arrival back at the ship we broke out the rope swing and gave it a good thrashing before heading up the mast for a mast climb. This gave everyone a chance test their bravery.

Yesterday the team spent the day snorkeling and sailing our small boats. The brave ate some kina and some were lucky enough to see a couple of eagle rays. The rope swing got another hammering then on the way back to the anchorage they had a yarn about Te Kapehu Whetu, (the maori star compass). Nga mihi to Te Toki Voyaging Trust for sharing their knowledge with us.

Morena whanau, our rangatahi had an epic final day onboard with big sail back to Motu Ihe playing games on deck in the sun on the way. When we got to anchor it was swim time with loads of manus and backflips off the swing. Some are looking forward to coming home and being back with their own family and sleeping in their own bed. Others don't want to leave.
