Captain's Log: 14th January

Log: 15/1

Kia Ora team, well we can report that the weather gods have been kinder over the last couple of days, however we are expecting a bit of rain soon. Not that it will dampen the spirits of this keen bunch of Rangatahi.
Yesterday was tramp day which was a big success, our illustrious first mate promised an epic spot, and no one came back disappointed.
Lots more learning, growing and over coming fears.
Bring on the final phase of V932.

Mōrena e te whānau,
Well Tawhirimatea has given us plenty to keep our anchor watch teams on the ball. With an easing forecast and our plans for adventures tomorrow it is time to farewell Rangitoto ki te Tonga, Durville island and make our way into the Pelorus Sounds.
Everyone is in great spirits if not a little tired. Lots of learning and heaps of cool experiences had. More adventures await.

After some time exploring the very scenic Abel Tasman area we were treated to a delayed new years fireworks display last night. Sure we had the best seats in the bay. Today it was time for the ship to really show what she was made to do. Some awesome sailing right across the Te Tai - O - Aorere, Tasman Bay. We are now safely anchored in the calm of Port Hardy at the top end of Durville Island.

Mōrena e te whānau. Yesterday we managed to board everyone in a timely manner and departed the wharf ahead of schedule. Crossing Tasman bay to the beautiful shores of Marahau, the southern end of the world famous Abel Tasman national Park.
Starting the day with a nice swim, lots of shipboard routines to learn.
Friendships are forming, it's shaping up to be a great trip.
