We have taken over the ship - its Trainee Day. From1600 last night, we voted in our crew, made a plan, and are now executing our plan, keeping the ship and everyone safe and having fun. Today is our day and we will seize the day!

Fun in the sun yesterday - fun in the rain today - weather brings the best out of us!

With a fair wind and the sun shinning we set sail to return to Aotearoa, to complete the remaining time of this voyage of discovery and growth.

We stay safety at anchor in this paradise waiting for the wind gods to give us favorable winds to sail back to our homeland, so fun is had with our small boats while we wait.

Aotea is a sight to behold, so we are heading ashore today to walk this land and enjoy the sights and sounds.

Aotea (Great Barrier Island) is our home for the next few days. It will be a place of wonder and discovery for us as we raft ashore today.

We have fair winds and a sunny sky, so we are off to explore and discover distant lands today.

We sailed North yesterday to explore the Hauraki Gulf/Tikapa Moana. It was a good breeze for sailing and we did a few tacks on the way to get our seamanship skills underway, and a bit of bonding and teamwork as well. A nice day to be on the water with our new friends.
Log: 16 APRIL
Voyage 941 is underway, and already we have started to make friends, learn about each other lives and we are finding our feet on this new home, the ship Spirit of New Zealand. We had a calm night at anchor with a refreshing swim to start the day. Looking forward with excitement to our first full day at sea.
